Age 11–12: 6th Grade – A Year of Becoming
"Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God..." – Ephesians 6:10–11
Sixth grade is a launchpad. Kids are shifting toward independence, asking deeper questions, and exploring how faith connects to real life. This is the year to solidify spiritual rhythms and begin preparing for confirmation.

Sixth graders are challenged to:- Use their Bibles regularly

- Highlight favorites and begin journaling reflections
- Serve in Worship
Encourage them to:- Help with ushering, AV/tech, greeting, or set-up
- Start attending the full worship service and engaging with the message
- See worship as a participation, not just a presence
- Faith & Identity Conversations
Start naming the connection between faith and life:“How does Jesus help when you’re anxious?”
“What does grace mean when you mess up at school or with friends?” - Prep for Confirmation
Help them understand what’s coming:“You’ll get to dig deep into the Bible and the Catechism next year—and we’ll walk with you every step.”

- Be their anchor. When the world feels like it’s shifting, they need your steadiness.
